Global markets gently improving, say investment managers

The global economy is gently improving, according to two leading investment managers.

Alex Crooke of Bankers Investment Trust says stocks paying dividends are attractive compared to other asset classes like bonds, where returns are low.

Mike Kerley, manager of Henderson Far East Income Trust and deputy manager of Henderson Asian Growth Trust, says Europe's debt crisis has hurt Asian exports but also hastened the shift toward inter-regional trade and higher domestic spending.
