Change at the helm looms for Fletcher

Changes in the leadership at Fletcher Building are looming later in the year, with Jonathan Ling stepping down as chief executive at the end of September after six years in charge.

His replacement will be an insider, Mark Adamson, who currently heads Fletcher Building's struggling Laminates and Panels division.

Mr Ling oversaw Fletcher Building's two biggest acquisitions, the US-based Formica and Australia's Crane Group, doubling the size of the firm, and making it Australasia's biggest building products company.

He will head back to Melbourne and says he'll take some time off before deciding what to do next.
