NZ market down on Thursday

The NZX50 rose 7 points, or 0.2%, to close at 3488 on turnover of $89 million on Thursday.

When the markets closed, the NZ dollar was at 75.38 US, 77.59 Australian, 48.69 pence, 59.32 yen and 0.6079 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 69.05.

Fletcher Building was up 3 cents to $6.29, Telecom was up 3 cents to $2.58, Chorus was up 1 cent at $3.26 and Contact Energy was up 7 cents at $4.88.

Sky City Entertainment was up 4 cents to $3.56 and Sky Television was down 10 cents at $4.95.

Auckland International Airport was up 6.5 cents to $2.575, Air New Zealnad was down 2.5 cents to 87 cents and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 7 cents to $2.05.

The Warehouse was down 3 cents to $2.52, Pumpkin Patch was up 2 cents to 88 cents after Rod Duke joined the board and Kathmandu was down 5 cents to $1.45.

Trade Me was up 8 cents to $4.07.

Mainfreight was up 10 cents to $9.86 after Wednesday's record high $80.5m annual profit.

Restaurant Brands was up 2 cents to $2.09.

Refining NZ was down 10 cents to $2.60, Nuplex was down 9 cents to $2.20 and Ryman Healthcare was down 6 cents to $3.35.
