The New Zealand sharemarket rose on Tuesday, with the NZX50 ending the trading day up 7 points at 3480.
Turnover was $83 million.
Among the major share movements, Fletcher Building closed up 5 cents at $6.26, Telecom was down 4 cents at $2.48, Chorus gained 6 cents to close at $3.42 and Contact Energy was up 2 cents at $4.77.
SkyCity Entertainment was up 3 cents to $3.82 while Sky Television lost 2 cents to close at $5.20.
Mainfreight shed 3 cents to $9.34, Refining NZ was up 4 cents at $2.79, OceanaGold was down 1 cent to $2.95 and Vector was unchanged at $2.66.
Kathmandu gained 5 cents to $1.65, Ebos Group was down 10 cents to $7.50 and Trustpower was up 1 cent to $7.25.
At 5.20pm, the NZ dollar was buying 81.6 US, 79.04 Australian, 51.4 pence, 65.62 yen, and 0.6225 euro.
The trade-weighted index was at 72.8.
