Dairy and meat exports have boosted manufacturing volumes in the December quarter.
Official figures show manufacturing volumes rose a seasonally adjusted 1.3% in the final three months of last year.
But if dairy and meat are excluded, manufacturing fell 0.7% - the second quarterly fall.
