One of Auckland's ferry piers has been closed because of health and safety concerns.
Pier 2C is a busy pier used by Waiheke Island ferries.
Auckland Transport said it found a problem during a routine maintenance check.
A spokesman wouldn't say what the problem was, just that further inspection was needed and the pier will remain closed for now.
On its website, Auckland Transport said it was working with marine engineers to assess the best approach to the repair work required.
