Police have arrested a fifth person over the assault of a 19-year-old woman who was found unconscious on the side of a road in Dome Valley, north of Auckland 11 days ago.
A 33-year-old man has appeared in the North Shore District Court charged with kidnapping.
Police are not ruling out making further arrests.
The woman remains in Auckland Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
