Timaru man missing since Sunday

7:03 pm on 3 May 2016

Timaru police are appealing for sightings of a man who hasn't been seen for two days.

Darryl McNee, who lives at the Waipopo Huts on the Opihi River, was last in contact with his family on Saturday morning.

His Mazda station wagon was found at the end of Connolly Road on Sunday, but a search nearby and along the beach found no trace of him.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw Mr McNee in the week leading up to his disappearance.

They say Mr McNee's car was found at a common access point for the Opihi River mouth, so it's possible someone saw him.

He is described as a thinly built caucasian male, who's 180 centimetres tall with short brown hair.
