Raglan Harbour swimming ban lifted

5:59 pm on 1 April 2016

A ban on swimming in Raglan Harbour after a sewerage overflow a week ago has been lifted.

Tests show water samples have returned to safe marine recreational levels, but the harbour is still not cleared for fishing or collecting seafood.

This will remain in place until 24 April.

An investigation into the cause of the spill is underway.

Approximately 10-cubic metres of wastewater entered the harbour at high tide following the spill.
