An elderly man is in a critical condition after being run over by a tractor in a rural settlement south of Dannevirke.
The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was called to a farm at Weber at 4.30pm, where an 89-year-old man was struck while collecting firewood.
He was taken to Palmerston North Hospital.
