The police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a petrol station in Palmerston North.
The police say three men confronted the sole station attendant at the Mobil Service Station on Pioneer Highway, stealing cash and cigarettes about 4am.
They say one of the men had a weapon, and the offenders were all wearing dark clothing and had covered their faces.
The police say the men left in a vehicle parked nearby, driving off in the direction of the Awapuni area.
