An Auckland man is in hospital after being stung by about 30 bees.
The 65-year-old fought off the bees at a property on Leigh Road in Matakana yesterday evening, before suffering anaphylactic shock.
Ambulance services arrived just before 5pm, and he was flown to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.
