Plunket is introducing an app for nurses to track the health of babies.
The electronic Plunket Health Record is being rolled out to nurses in Wellington and Wairarapa, and is expected be used nationwide by the end of the year.
Plunket chief executive Jenny Prince said it would make it easier for nurses to access records, using tablets and the app instead of pen and paper.
Plunket books would still be available for parents, she said.
