Auckland's two centre-right local body groups appear to have made peace over a potential clash of candidates in October's elections.
Neither the long-established C and R group, nor the newly formed Auckland Future ticket, will say what the solution will be for the Albert-Eden-Roskill ward.
C and R was on track to select two candidates for the two-seat ward, when Auckland Future named one.
The ward is currently split between the centre-right, and the left, with former National MP Christine Fletcher alongside City Vision's Cathy Casey.
Both centre-right groups have links with the National Party, and say a meeting today was constructive and the outcome will become clear after a meeting of C and R's executive in several weeks.
