Reformists in Iran, including President Hassan Rouhani, are ahead of conservatives following Friday's crucial elections, early results say.
Mr Rouhani and former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani lead the race for the 88-member Assembly of Experts, the body that appoints the Supreme Leader.
Votes for a new parliament are also being counted.
The election was the first since a deal with world powers over Iran's nuclear programme and the lifting of sanctions.
The outcome could affect reformist President Hassan Rouhani's chances of re-election in 2017.
