Auckland pensioner arrested after stabbing

An Auckland pensioner has been arrested after two of his neighbours were stabbed following an argument.

The police said an altercation involving several residents escalated.

Emergency services were called to a block of pensioner flats in Freemans Bay just after 7pm.

Two people were taken to Auckland Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 65-year-old man was arrested at his flat, and was in police custody.
