The woman who was found dead in her home in Wellington on Tuesday has been named as 31-year-old Rosemary Dey.
The police discovered her body at her home in Constable Street, Newtown, acting on concerns about her well-being.
Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee says the police are still investigating the unexplained death.
He says the initial results of a post-mortem today are inconclusive and further analysis will be done.
