The Armed Offender Squad (AOS) cordoned off a Lower Hutt address this morning after a man was seen entering with a firearm.
However when the AOS entered the Harrison Cres, Avalon, property they found no firearms present.
Police are currently speaking with the occupants of the home.
The Armed Offenders Squad have cordoned off the area.
Police have asked the public to avoid the area.
