One person has been taken to hospital and 17 others escaped unhurt after their bus crashed near Paparoa in Northland.
Initial reports were that multiple people had been injured, and four ambulances and two helicopters were sent to the scene on State Highway 1.
St John Ambulance says all those on board the bus have been assessed and only one person was injured.
