Train conductor punched in Auckland after argument

7:08 am on 9 January 2016

The police in west Auckland want to speak to two girls about a train conductor being punched in the face over an argument about letting a dog on board.

CCTV footage shows three girls and a man with a dog getting on at Morningside station yesterday afternoon.

The police said the conductor told them the dog was not allowed on the train and after the group got argumentative, told them to get off.

As they did so at Baldwin Avenue, the police said the man punched the conductor and knocked him to the ground, while one of the girls tried to take the key out of the train door control panel, snapping it in half.
