A family argument in a rural area of Otago turned violent last night when a man threatened another with a gun.
Police said an armed offenders squad was called out to Barnes Road, in the Circle Hill area south of Dunedin, at about 11pm, after a man produced a gun during an argument with his son-in-law.
The 56-year-old man was arrested.
Police said more guns were found at the house.
