Many Federated Farmers members are satisfied with the performance of the government, a survey shows.
Federated Farmers president William Rolleston says lower interest rates, the TPP deal and the Paris climate-change agreement on food security, as well as emission reductions, are behind the 83 percent satisfaction rate.
The survey was self-selecting and only 1000 of the federation's 12,000 members responded.
But the organisation insists the survey is robust, saying 1000 responses is the most it ever gets, and the pro-government trend is roughly the same across all farming sectors and regions.
