A boy who fell through a skylight at a Palmerston North school is now in a stable condition.
The 12-year-old was transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland yesterday with critical injuries.
The boy was with two companions spotted on the roof of Central Normal School on Friday night.
When police arrived they found he had fallen through a skylight. His friends had broken into the classroom to try to help him.
Police will be talking to the friends today to get a better understanding of what happened.
