A man has been arrested in relation to an attack on two brothers in Porirua, but police aren't ruling out further arrests.
The police said the brothers, aged 34 and 47, were returning from a Christmas party early on Sunday two weekends ago, when they were attacked by a group.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent.
Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ferguson said enquiries were continuing and he would not rule out further arrests.
The brothers were taken to Wellington Hospital with head injuries - the younger was discharged the same day but the older man was put on life support.
The hospital said he was now in a stable condition.
