A teenage boy is in a critical condition after impaling his head on a metal stake.
St John Ambulance says staff were called to the scene in Beachlands in Auckland about 4.15pm today.
A spokesperson says the Fire Service helped to remove the stake before the 14-year-old was flown to Starship Hospital.
