The final NCEA and Scholarship exams are being held today and the Qualifications Authority says this year's exam season has gone well - despite some glitches.
It said so far it had recieved 260 reports of possible cheating, such as having cellphones in the exam room, which was about the same as in previous years.
The Authority said some exams were disrupted by power cuts or fire alarms, but school staff had ensured students were not disadvantaged by such incidents.
It said more than 145,000 candidates sat the exams, generating more than one million exam papers, which will be marked before Christmas.
