A search has been underway today for a man who went missing off Bream Bay in Northland.
Northland Emergency Services Trust chief helicopter pilot Peter Turnbull said it appeared the man fell into the water from a small inflatable dingy near Waipu.
The dingy was retrieved earlier today, but there has been no sign of the man.
Mr Turnbull said Search and Rescue were now evaluating the next step in the search.
