11:46 am on 7 November 2015

Police have been called to the Conservative Party's annual meeting in Auckland.

A police spokesman said officers arrived at a hotel on Ascot Road in Mangere, where the party's AGM was held, about 9am today.

He said officers were told a person had been trespassing, but no trespass notices ended up being issued.

The former interim chairman of the party's board John Stringer had turned up on premises. Mr Stringer is involved in a legal dispute with the former party leader Colin Craig.
