10:01 am on 3 November 2015

Grape growers and orchardists in Central Otago are being warned to prepare for some cold and frosty days ahead.

WeatherStation climate consultant James Morrison said the cold change began developing this morning across the lower South Island and could even bring some snow.

Mr Morrison said Wednesday, Thursday and Friday would possibly be very cold across the south of the South Island, and vineyards and orchards would be busy trying to protect crops from frosts.
