A Christchurch woman is dead and another person is injured after a collision near Greymouth yesterday afternoon that closed the road for seven hours.
A Tasman Police District spokeswoman says the woman was riding a motorbike that collided with a car on Arnold Valley Road in Moana.
A Christchurch woman on another motorcycle was flown to Greymouth Hospital with a broken leg after she lost control hit debris from the crash.
The police say the deceased woman's name will be released once next of kin have been notified.
