Police in Auckland are working with Interpol to track down the family of a young man who was killed in a car crash overnight.
They say the man, in his early 20s, was thrown from his car on the southern motorway.
Police said enquiries were underway with Interpol to get in contact with the man's next of kin overseas.
The Serious Crash Unit was investigating, including whether or not the man was wearing a seatbelt.
