Boat builder Sealegs International says it is going to expand its manufacturing network, with plans to work with hull manufacturers in Europe and the United States.
Sealegs chief executive David McKee Wright said Sealegs had seen a five-fold increase in new orders from boat manufacturers, with orders worth $2.5 million in the first six months ended in September compared with $500,000 the year earlier.
He said working with other equipment manufacturers would provide the market with a wider range of amphibious boats for a wider range of applications.
