Hundreds of Wellington houses were left without water this morning after two seperate water mains burst.
The Wellington City Council says a contractor accidently cut a main at the corner of Stewart Drive and Bracken Road in the Newlands-Paparangi area, leaving hundreds of properties without water.
In Kilbirnie, a water main burst at the intersection of Rongotai Road and Tracy Street, affecting a few neighbouring properties.
