The exhibition manager at Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology has been appointed chief executive of the Nelson Provincial Museum.
Lucinda Blackley-Jimson replaces Peter Millward, who recently stepped down after several years heading the museum which is governed by the Tasman Bays Heritage Trust.
Trust chairperson Olivia Hall said Ms Blackley-Jimson's academic background was in cultural anthropology and she had been tasked with helping to take the regional museum into its next phase of development.
