An alleged sexual predator has pleaded not guilty in the New Plymouth District Court to a raft of historic sex offences, committed over almost 20 years.
The 36-year-old Hawera man, who is on bail for two more recent indecency charges, was arrested yesterday and charged with a further 26 offences, including rape.
The alleged offending occurred from 1993 through to 2012 in Hawera, Otorohanga and Te Awamutu.
There are at least 10 alleged victims, including males and females, some of whom are family members of the defendant.
Judge Garry Barkle granted the man interim name suppression and bailed him at large under strict conditions including non-association orders and an 8pm to 7am curfew.
He will reappear on 17 November.
