Searchers scouring the South Otago coastline for two boaties missing since Wednesday have found a drink bottle that may belong to one of them.
Whetuki Sam Kopua and Matekino Lucy Burling, both from Owaka, were on board a five metre boat found upturned in the sea off Nugget Point yesterday.
The police say searches have continued today on foot, by boat and by plane.
A drink bottle that may belong to Mrs Burling was found on the shore in between the two mouths of the Clutha river.
The Police have also downloaded information from a GPS device from the boat, which has helped pinpoint where it may have capsized.
Both land and water searches will continue tomorrow.
