Oral historian Alan Dein explores the life and musical legacy of Aleksander Kulisiewicz,  a man blessed with a photographic memory and a talent for music.  During the six years he spent in Sachsenhausen Nazi Concentration Camp, fellow prisoners, many of whom knew they were to be killed, would ask him to remember their songs.  And it became his life’s mission, remembering and preserving for history, their songs of resistance and defiance, songs of love and home, songs that captured the brutality of life and death in the camps.
