We’re proud to be the first to share the new video from Kiwi/Aussie experimental two-piece Chesta Hedron. ‘Pulse’ is the first single from their debut album Rubedo Telesma due out later this year.
Chesta Hedron is a psych rock duo made up of New Zealander Matthew Armitage (guitar) and Australian Eli Kalaitzides (drums).
Matthew, originally from Dunedin, spent the early 2000s in the Wellington music scene working with bands including Odessa, Bunnies on Ponies, Family Cactus, and Ginger Brown.
After moving to Australia in 2013 he joined forces with Eli. The pair began jamming together in the hills of Mullumbimby, Northern NSW and blending their diverse musical appetites.
Since releasing their debut EP, Infinite Nought in 2016, Chesta Hedron have regularly played shows in their ‘hometown’ of Byron Bay (close to Millumbimby) as well as the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and New Zealand.
‘Pulse’ is the first single from their debut album Rubedo Telesma which is due out later this year.
The track’s video was filmed between Canberra's Brindabella National Park, New South Wales’ Northern Rivers region, and Cape York in Queensland.
Director Chi Chaldera shot it on his Sony Hi8 Camcorders and mixed it to VHS .
