Jawsh 685 is 17-year-old musician and producer Joshua Stylah from South Auckland. You've probably heard his island-infused dance track ‘Laxed (Siren Beat)’, even though you might not know it.

The track's been used in over 30 million TikTok creations in just a few weeks. Celebrities such as Jessica Alba and TikTok stars Addison Rae, Tony Lopez, and Charli D’Amelio have all posted their own take on the dance challenge that features the track.

Its TikTok success has seen ‘Laxed’ skyrocket up Shazam charts worldwide, reaching the Top 25 positions in 30 countries, including #2 on the Global Shazam chart.

The song has amassed over six-and-a-half million Spotify streams worldwide and over eight million views on the original YouTube video uploaded in July 2019.

Meanwhile, allegations have been made about pop superstar Jason Derulo’s use of the track.

Joshua is managed by Auckland-based management firm Page 1, whose other artists include Lorde’s producer Joel Little, and local pop musician Robinson.
