From RNZ Music, 10:00 am on 14 August 2019

Neil Finn has announced that Crowded House will be reuniting to headline a night at Australia's Byron Bay Bluesfest on Sunday, April 12 2020. It will be the first time the band has played together since they marked the 20th anniversary of their Farewell to the World show at the Sydney Opera House in 2016.

Neil Finn told fans in an email last night that Crowded House will headline a night at the long-running and hugely popular Byron Bay Bluesfest in New South Wales, which takes place from April 9-13 2020.

Crowded House will perform on Sunday, April 12.

The last time the band played together was at the Sydney Opera House in 2016, to mark 20 years since their 1996 Farewell to the World show.

"It's been nearly three years since the band's magical four-night run outside the Sydney Opera House," Finn said in the message, "So this upcoming concert at Australia's premier music festival will be highly anticipated."

The band didn't completely disappear in 1996, reforming in 2006 and releasing two top-selling albums: 2007's Time and 2010's Intriguer.
