To celebrate the release of his newest album, this week we feature Whanganui based solo artist Anthonie Tonnon.

Beginning his career in Dunedin, Anthonie writes tightly crafted songs with insightful, satirical character-based lyrics. Anthonie is also well known and regarded for the theatricality of his performances, immersing audiences in his shows. He has performed in Planetariums and in some of NZ's most extraordinary out of the way community venues - as part of his two Rail Land tours celebrating public transport.

Anthonie's newest full-length album Leave Love Out Of This is set for release on July 16th. It will be available on Vinyl, CD, digital or as a Deluxe Edition LP. All physical and digital download versions of the album come with an additional 8 minutes of music, including the extra track,'Lockheed Bomber!

Anthonie Tonnon has always been a welcome guest at the RNZ Studios and for the next thirty minutes we feature performances from a Music 101 Session and Afternoons First Song and NZ Live sessions.
