Maori health, welfare, education and justice service providers from all over New Zealand are gathering in Auckland today, to discuss what they say is unfair treatment by the government; The Labour Party's health spokesperson says a recent Otago University study which shows that Maori are less likely than Pakeha to put off going to the doctor because of the cost, deserves closer consideration; A Te Arawa elder and educationalist, Toby Curtis, has been appointed as the interim chairperson of the cultural arm of the country's first ever iwi operated educational body.
