'Just too premature': Luxon not engaging in coalition talk despite rising polls

From Morning Report, 7:47 am on 7 December 2022

National's leader is refusing to speculate on possible coalition partners despite recent polling showing the two parties neck and neck.

The One News Kantar Public poll out earlier this week had Labour down one point to 33 percent and National nudging up one to 38 percent.

Luxon was also up two points in the preferred Prime Minister polling, to 23 percent, but still lagged behind Jacinda Ardern, who was at 29 percent.

Christopher Luxon says coalition talks are premature.
