Covid-19: Government acknowledges vaccine inequity for Māori

Fifty percent of the Māori population have had their first dose of vaccinations - this is far behind other ethnicities - compared with 75 percent of the general population. 

The inequity has been acknowledged by the government and work is underway to help close the gap.

But is it enough - and is it too late?
