New coastal mapping shows the sea is rapidly gobbling up a beach in front of a mountain of toxic waste stored at Tiwai Pt aluminium smelter.
Locals say this shows how urgent it is for smelter owner Rio Tinto to reveal how it plans to deal with the waste.
