Retirement villages defend industry after Commissioner report

Retirement villages are rejecting a call from the Retirement Commissioner for an urgent review of laws governing the sector.

In a report today Commissioner Jane Wrightson says the law risks becoming outdated and unfit for purpose, and an urgent review is needed.

Retirement villages say a review is unnecessary and excessive.

Retirement Villages Association executive director John Collyns spoke to Susie Ferguson.
