The government's climate change response is being described as vastly inadequate given the massive changes need.
In a pre-budget announcement yesterday it says it is kicking in extra $67 million to help the public sector become carbon neutral by 2025.
But Dr Paul Winton from the The 1Point5 Project says it is nowhere near what is needed.
He told environment reporter Hamish Cardwell the Government's actions are at odds with our own climate laws and our international obligations.
