Civil Defence Tologa Bay on first two earthquakes

Two major earthquakes have struck off the coast of New Zealand this morning.

A magnitude 7.1, before 2.30am, 100 kilometres off of East Cape, was widely felt and generated a tsunami which hit Hicks Bay just before 3am.
