New Plymouth today begins day two of vigorous testing to find if the new variant has spread to the city.
The mother and daughter who have tested positive for Covid-19 visited a handful of tourist attractions and eateries in and around New Plymouth.
Mayor Neil Holdom says he's encouraged by Monday's efforts to track down any potential community spread.
