Booksellers relying on gut instinct for Christmas orders

Booksellers are returning to the 1970s way of doing things this Christmas.

Trusting their instincts, and stocking up on the books they think people will want to read.

Gelays in the global supply chains for books mean people are waiting weeks to receive their orders.

As a result, bookstores have been stocking up in high numbers well in advance of Christmas.
